Why Plates Make Great Wall Decor

Whether it’s a set of delicate florals, or classic blue and white porcelain, plates can add texture, color, and personality to a space.
They’re also easy to collect! I’ve found some of my favorite pieces while thrifting, at estate sales, and even on Amazon (more on that below).
How I Styled Plates in My Home

How to Hang Plates on the Wall (Without Damage)

The key to hanging plates easily (and securely!) is using wall plate hangers. I use these spring-style plate hangers from Amazon that come in multiple sizes. They grip the edge of the plate and have a small hook on the back for hanging—no drilling into the plates required
Tip: I recommend laying your plates out on the floor first to test different arrangements before committing. If you’re nervous about getting the spacing right, a little painter’s tape can help you mark out your layout beforehand.
